Rio combines paid live moments with limited editions. You pay with one balance, and part of every fee belongs to the creators.

Rio Live

Paid 1:1 video calls

Creators set a price per minute and a minimum length and switch to “online now”. When you start a call, the minimum is reserved from your balance. Billing is per started minute from the moment you are both in the room; the rest of the reservation is released.

  • No answer within 60 seconds, and your coins are back automatically.
  • Time and coins run visibly during the call. Extend whenever you like.
  • Video runs through Rio's own server in Germany. Nothing is recorded.
  • Plus: livestreams and group sessions with tickets.
Rio Collections

Limited editions

Creators publish photos, videos, audio or text as a numbered edition. Buying one gets you the next copy, like “#12/100”, the content for personal use and the perks the creator defines. Copies can be resold to other fans, and the creator receives 10% of every resale.

  • Supply from 1 to 10,000; price and perks are up to the creator.
  • Perks like owner-only livestreams or discounts on calls.
  • Only the preview is public. Owners see the content.
  • Collect and support: editions are not an investment.
Rio Coins

One balance for everything

Coins pay for calls, tickets, tips, editions and the marketplace. 100 coins are €1, fixed. Coins you buy can be spent but not exchanged back. What you earn on Rio lands in your balance as “Earned” and can be paid out in euros.

  • Fixed value, no interest, no trading outside Rio.
  • You buy coins in the app through the App Store.
  • Every movement is a booking you can see in your wallet.
Creator pool

In the end, Rio belongs to the creators

One third of every Rio fee goes into the creator pool. Every quarter it is distributed to active creators by their share of revenue. How much is in the pool and where every coin went is live on the transparency page.
